It's logical why the Santa Mira reference: Season reminded me immediately of Invasion Of The Body Snatchers, and I liked it (but not as much as H'ween or the first IOBS). Halloween 2 was blunt, sloppy, and crude in comparison with Halloween, so a total change of pace worked for me, as I loved the first film; the second had no suspense at all and very little creativity. Saw all of these theatrically, of course. I do not recall the Don Post SOTW masks at all, but of course knew of (and even wore) some of the Post '60s and '70s masks. I believe the only real disappointments came from fanatics who expected a carbon-copy, which is what the later H'ween films did, they just gave up on trying anything creative or different or challenging. And the Donovan song is primo. Apparently also a James Herlihy novel of that name was released, too.

Hi,
Well if there is anything to the 6 degrees of separation. I would like to meet Gerard Butler, but how do you meet someone that probably has this all the time - just look at some of the posts. Scary. But if you know Gerard, pass it on... Gerard if you want down to earth from NZ with a puppy and two cats who just feels like something resonates in your eyes. Get in touch. Forget the movies and the alter ego, come as you are and lets chat and have coffee (or preferably tea of some sort) and homemade chocolate cake lol. At least if the company didn't spark, the cake will taste great.
NZ - just putting it out there ...

Although even Matheson felt that remaking classic episodes of the original series was a bad idea, the movie does have some good points, and it's unfortunate that the tragedy involving Vic Morrow and the two children overshadowed every other aspect of this ill-fated production. It's certainly interesting to see Matheson's take on two TWILIGHT ZONE stories by other writers, and while Lithgow's performance in the remake of his classic "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" did not build as gradually as William Shatner's in the TV version, it is nonetheless impressive. Interested parties can read more about his work on several different incarnations of THE TWILIGHT ZONE in my forthcoming book RICHARD MATHESON ON SCREEN.

I actually enjoy this one, although some don't rate it. Takes a more metaphysical route (soul transference) than other Hammer Frankenstein films. Quite moving too.

Not a bad Mummy picture. Not as good as Hammer's first (The Mummy) but a vast improvement over the second (Curse of the Mummy's Tomb). Michael Ripper has a bigger role than usual in this and is very good. Great Mummy design too.

Danny, is in the studio most of the year. Question,...... why does he not write music for Oingo Boingo wearing prescription ear protectors. Any musician can continue writing, recording, and PERFORMING rock music with proper protection. Little Things, a rock song was done as requested by the director, with no reported hearing loss.

His film music has been relatively repetitive and dictated by the film. His truly innovative interesting music was in the rock realm.....every song was interesting and original. I am a classical music, film music, and Oingo Boingo fan,,,,,, so with this I respectfully request Danny write a new Oingo Boingo Album wearing ear protectors and perform every two years wearing hearing protectors.............. As a thank you to the fans and the band itself who, I assume could use a good paying gig.
