Timothy James “Tim” Curry (born 19 April 1946) is an English actor, singer, composer and voice actor, known for his work in a diverse range of theatre, film and television productions. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.


Curry first became known to audiences with his breakthrough role as Dr. Frank N. Furter in the 1975 cult movie The Rocky Horror Picture Show, then later for his roles as Rooster in the film adaption of Annie, Lord of Darkness in the film Legend (1985), Wadsworth in the movie Clue, and as Pennywise the Dancing Clown in the horror film Stephen King’s It. He played Nigel, the father in the Nickelodeon children’s TV show The Wild Thornberrys. He has performed the role of King Arthur in the Broadway hit Monty Python’s Spamalot.

Trivia:

Provided the voice of “Sir” who welcomed visitors to the Alien Encounter attraction in Tomorrowland at Walt Disney World. The Alien Encounter ride was replaced after a few years.

Not only was he Tim Burton’s second choice for the role of The Joker, he was the producers’ first choice for the role in the animated television series, until Mark Hamill was cast. Tom Hulce succeeded him in the role of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Amadeus.

Don’t Look Now (1973) is one of his favorite films.

He was presented with an honorary citizenship of New Orleans and key to the City of New Orleans by Angela Baham, Administrative Assistant to the Chief Administrator Officer Reynard J. Rochon to Mayor Ernest Morial on October 8, 1979 following a concert in New Orleans.

Was working on an album project with Lou Adler in 1976. However only four songs were completed. The best is a cover of The Supremes’ “Baby Love.” Also recorded three albums for A&M Records. “Ready My Lips” (1978), “Fearless” (1979), and “Simplicity” (1981). Though only one charting song, “I Do the Rock,” both it at “Paradise Garage” [from "Fearless"] have become cult hits, having two music videos made for MTV which were often played before showings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). His best album is often praised “Fearless,” and his best songs are “Birds of a Feather,” “Alan,” “Sloe Gin,” “I Do the Rock,” “S.O.S.,” “Cold Blue Steel and Sweet Fire,” “Paradise Garage,” “No Love on the Street,” “Something Short of Paradise,” “Working on My Tan,” “Simplicity,” “On a Roll,” “Take Me I’m Yours,” “Out of Pawn,” and “I Put a Spell on You.”.

Was on the 1980 Clash album “Sandinista!” On track 18, “The Sound of the Sinners”, he spoke as a priest mid-song.

Has voiced two royal cats, voicing Prince in “Garfield: A Tail Of Two Kitties” and The Cat King in “The Cat Returns”.

Has a dog named Frank.

Olivia Burnette began her acting career at the tender age of 6. The most notable of her first acting jobs was in Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987) opposite comic superstar Steve Martin.

After several television appearances, Olivia was cast as the lead in the down-home series “The Torkelsons” (1991), playing Dorothy Jane.

Olivia continued her television career with a few television movies, before being cast in The Quick and the Dead (1995), which allowed her to work with such actors as Gene Hackman, Sharon Stone and Russell Crowe.

Olivia continued her work on the big screen in Eye for an Eye (1996) with director John Schlesinger, and got the opportunity to play Sally Field’s daughter as well as be brutalized in a controversial scene by Kiefer Sutherland.

Determined to obtain a college degree, Olivia left Los Angeles to attend the prestigious NYU, Tisch School of the Arts. She graduated with not one but two majors: Film and English. After school, she was inspired to buy the rights to a novel and adapted it into a screenplay, which is currently being shopped.

Most recently, Olivia has been seen in the hit television show “CSI: NY” (2004) along with Oscar nominated Gary Sinise and Emmy nominated Melina Kanakaredes, and in the naval drama “Navy NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service” (2003) with Mark Harmon.

Her most recent feature film entitled Flourish (2006), which also stars Jennifer Morrison and Jesse Spencer from the hit Fox drama “House M.D.” (2004), premiered at the world renowned Cinequest Film Festival 2006, as well being screened at the Cannes Film Market in 2006.

She currently resides in Southern California with her husband, singer/songwriter/producer Julian Sakata, and her five year old stepson, Rain.

For much of the mid-1990s, he lived in Los Angeles as a struggling, unemployed actor. In 2000 he made his feature film debut in Clint Eastwood’s space adventure Space Cowboys. Hamm gained worldwide recognition for playing advertising executive Don Draper in AMC’s drama series Mad Men, which premiered in July 2007. His performance earned him a Golden Globe Award in the category for Best Actor in a Drama Series in 2008. Aside from appearing in Mad Men, he was featured in the 2008 science fiction remake The Day the Earth Stood Still and had his first leading role in the independent thriller Stolen (2010).

The film’s tagline is “Terror so sudden there is no time to scream”. Released by American Cinema, the film runs for 87 minutes and grossed $15,800,000 in the US. It marks scream queen Barbara Steele’s only 1980s film appearance, and was among the early cycle of slasher films to appear after the genre was popularised by Halloween and Friday the 13th. Some exteriors of the film were shot at the Smith Estate in Highland Park, Los Angeles, CA.

She co-starred with Guy Pearce and her real-life brother, Omero, and the movie earned $56,684,819 in the US. Mumba’s second venture into films was in 2003, where she appeared in the film Spin the Bottle.

In 2005, Mumba took on the lead role of Jessica in the Irish film Boy Eats Girl. The film was a box office failure in Ireland, making a little over €1 million despite its €5 million budget.

In 2006, Mumba starred in the thriller Nailed, playing the character Sapphire. Mumba also co-starred in Johnny Was, a British/Irish gangster movie. 2007 saw Mumba filming her part in the movie 3 Crosses.

Target Earth is a 1954 science fiction film. It was directed by Sherman A. Rose and stars Richard Denning, Kathleen Crowley, Virginia Grey, and Whit Bissell. The film focuses on a deserted Chicago cityscape and a small group of people who have been overlooked during a mass evacuation due to an invasion of robot like beings from the planet Venus. The movie was based on the 1953 short story “Deadly City” by Paul W. Fairman.

Trivia:

  • Only one robot costume was constructed for this film and it was used for all robot scenes. This is why you never see more than one member of the “robot army” in a shot.
  • Although the production crew had no permits, the scenes showing the deserted city were filmed in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday mornings when the streets would be vacant.
  • The killer, (played by Robert Roark) got his part because his father, a doctor in LA would invest in the film if his son was given a part. After this part he went on to play in many movies and became a producer.
